Hi

I'd like to tell you about my experience in purchasing my property in Sofia. I had had an interest in Buying abroad for quite some time, but I am not a very rich man so I ended up buying cheaply hoping to make huge gains quickly by selling my apartment. The agent was very nice as you'd expect but once I had sent my 1st payment I found it very difficult to contact him, them the girl in the sofia office left the company so I was left not knowing what was going on, I guess because I was only a small fish in a big pond the agent didn't really deem my needs to be as important as the bigger fish, I did contact him eventually but I found the answers very grey and vague. In the mean time the agents solicitor was answering all my qustions and was very frank with me. He told me more than the agent ever mentioned, and without him I would have struggled to have completed the sale and got my title deeds. He was very good, I'd recommend him highly! He's from Sofia, his name is Vladislav, and I have since found out he is on a website, which explains alot about what is required and involved in Purchasing property in Sofia, the site is bulgarianlawyer.net. I have heard several stories where people have been ripped off by solicitors, and those of you who are from Ireland will have heard of solicitor Lyng who has since gone awol , so my advice is do your home work and don't make the same mistakes as I have, because I am still trying to finalise details for my apartment and am only now getting to grips with the whole thing, I wish anyone who is buying abroad good luck its alot of work, and can be very frustrating, but will hopefully be worth it
