The most attractive characteristics of Bulgaria are: cuisine, personal security, Bulgarians' friendliness and hotel conditions, says a State Agency of Tourism research among 3,000 foreign tourists.

At the same time, advantageous prices and beautiful nature are the reasons that would provoke foreigners to recommend Bulgaria to other people.

The most repulsive sides of the Bulgarian tourist product, considering the foreigner's opinion are: the noise in the resorts, low level of speaking foreign languages and low level of politeness among the service staff.

66% from the required Britons and 65% from the Balkan countries' citizen would return to rest in Bulgaria again.

63% of the people who participated in the poll are for second time on local resort, each forth required tourist comes for 4th time, which makes him permanent visitor of the country.

According to the most visited places in Bulgaria by foreigners, the capital city of Sofia is dominating in the SAT's poll, followed by seaside resorts; Varna and Burgas.

The most popular spa destinations are Velingrad and Bansko.

In 2001 a tourist had spent in Bulgaria 580 EUR, in 2004 the sum decreases to 370 EUR, while now its - 320 EUR.

17% of the required tourists said that Bulgaria has no enough tourism information in their countries.

The biggest competitor of Bulgaria is Spain, according to the research. Turkey, Greece and Egypt are also preferred tourism destinations.

The poll was made among 3,000 tourists, while 4 million foreigners had visited Bulgaria in the passed tourists.
