The prices of land near Sozopol resort have gone up from 200 to 500 euro per sq m in a week alone
The price of of land plot near the resort of Sozopol reached that of two deluxe maisonettes. Owners of land along the Black Sea coastal line take advantage of the new situation and blow up prices. The reason are the new regulations on the construction works along the Black Sea coastal line coming into force as of next year. Thus, the price of land in the region rose from 200 to 500 euro per sq m, in the last few days. The amended law bans the construction on the beach line. This led to a slump in prices of real estates along the front coastline. There is a great demand for land farther away from the beach. A land plot of 430 sq m in the Harmanite Bay, south of Sozopol, is now sold for 150 000 euro. This is the cost of a two-room apartment in Sozopol. The prices there are even higher than those in Sofia, commented the real estate agencies. Just yesterday, a businessman from Plovdiv paid 80 000 euro for a 250-square meter land plot.
