LUBO ALEXANDROV
Lubo Alexandrov has just won a Juno Award in Canada for his album Kaba Horo.
The Bulgarian-born guitarist, composer and singer has developed a unique musical style, combining the wild drive of Bulgarian dances, the festive spirit of Gypsy songs, the emotional intensity of Turkish music with the hip cool of urban jazz grooves. He is one of the few musicians in the world playing fretless guitar. The seven-piece Kaba Horo Ensemble is truly a global band. Featuring one of Bulgaria's top kaval flute players Nedyalko Nedyalkov.
