London does not want Bulgarian engineers and medics; Poland will open doors for them

The Bulgarian shepherds have the biggest chance to get a job in the UK after January 1, 2007, whereas our engineers, economists and medics will have to wait at least two years for such an opportunity. This becomes clear from the labor restrictions for Bulgarians and Romanians, proposed by UK Home Office Minister Liam Byrne.
The UK will grant work permits to 20,000 Bulgarians and Romanians, but only in the agriculture and food industry. The applicants should also be low-qualified, so as not to be able to compete with the local people for job positions.
The Bulgarian workers will be paid 3.20 GBP per hour, whereas a British worker is paid at least GBP 5.35 per hour.
The EC rose against London's labor discrimination towards Bulgaria and Romania.
Late yesterday, Poland decided to open its labor market for Bulgarians and Romanians.
