A helmet of the time of Alexander the Great and Lysimachus was presented yesterday in the Rousse Museum of History. The exponent is unique for Bulgaria. Only several other helmets of this period are exhibited in museums across Europe and in the USA. The helmet was donated by Atanas Bobokov and his brother - Plamen two month ago. Historians date the helmet back to the fourth or the third century B. C. The helmet might have been discovered in the Bulgarian lands, because here there were mercenaries at that time who fought in the army of Alexander. The helmet is very well preserved. Even the shine of its bronze cover could still be seen.
