Bulgarian teacher required (London)

A group of friends and I are quite keen to learn some Bulgarian with the help of a native Bulgarian teacher. We are not necessarily looking for someone who is highly qualified but someone who can help with pronunciation and other basic stuff. We are based mainly around east London. If anybody knows someone who might be interested/suitable please get in touch.

Have you surfed the net and found all the web pages for learning Bg? Many come with sound. The one thing you will have to do is learn the alphabet, it should take you about a week.

I can recommend 'Bulgarian 4 Brits' as advertised in the left margin of this forum, Being a CD as well as a book you not only know what to say but how to say it. PS: this is not a plug, just drawing your attention to something already advertised on the site.

Hi, if you find anyone teaching Bulgarian I would also be interested as I live in West London but work in East london. I've also got Bulgarian for Brits and various other books and cds but a real live teacher is always handy for asking questions, accents, slang etc.

I never did manage to find myself a Bulgarian teacher in Lodon which is a bit of a surprise. I think if I wanted to learn Polish I would have had little problem here. I've been using Teach Yourself Bulgarian, which comes with two CDs. It's quite good, if a bit old fashioned. Anyway, am off back to BG tomorrow for a couple of weeks so can test out what I've learned, gulp!
