Hello,

I've been trying to research Sofia's districts and having no luck.

Can anyone give me a little more info on what the Oborishte district is like? Business based, suburban, nice, dirty? A good place to live or stay in a hotel there?

What type of people would live in this area?

Just looking for some basic info on what it is like compared to other areas of Sofia...

Any help or links to info online would be great.

Many thanks,

Auto

Hello autonomy,

The Oborishte district is located in the central area of Sofia. It consists of a myriad of small streets, many of them still cobbled avenues. This area offers quiet residential locations with the convenience of Sofia's central sights and facilities all within a 10-15 minute ( Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the Bulgarian Parliament)

Here is a map of Sofia -

Hi Suzanne,

Many thanks for your response.

Would you say it is affluent young professionals that would normally live in this area?

Would you have any idea of what a 1 bed apartment would cost to rent or buy in a new building?

Amny thanks again,

Hi Autonomy,

As fas as I know the rent price for one bed apartment in this area is between 150 - 300 euro. It could be even more (500 euro) in the new blocks of flats.

I live in this district and it is pretty one.
It's located in the centre and within 10 minutes walking distance to the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the Bulgarian Parliament. There are lots of new flats of block and new buildings, as well as offplan properties.
I thing young professionals can live normally here.

In case youŽ re interested I can search some rent offers for you.

Thanks again Suzanne!

I do appreciate your help. I am looking at an off plan investment there. The location is towards the Slivnista stadium / Angista / Cumerna area...

Hope it's as nice there as you say.

Many thanks again,

Auto.
