Hello all,

I'm thinking of buying a place in Bulgaria and I have a few questions?
Is there a location that is close to the sea (summer) and sking for (winter)?.
Is there a big english communuity that are buying in one perticular area?
I have read in these posts of St Vlas? is there anywhere else?

There are available properties to buy near the mountain as well as near the sea.

The ski property in Bulgaria proves a highly attractive investment opportunity. Bulgaria is developing first class ski resorts in its beautiful mountains of Rila, Pirin and Rhodopi. There are 3 modern ski resorts with 80km of ski runs: Bansko, Borovets and Pomporovo. The Ski resorts are predominantly Alpine in character and with recent investment, now boast modern facilities and lifts.
Certainly the most visited ski resort is still Borovets. This purposely made resort is a favourite skiing destination for mostly British skiers and snowboarders. Because Borovets is not a town where local people live there is almost no property for sale inside the resort.
The second most popular purposely built resort is Pamprovo.
Maybe it is a good idea to invest in a smaller ski resort called Chepelare ( near Pamporovo )
Bansko is the fastest developing ski resort of Bulgaria, located in Pirin mountains.

Hi,

If you're looking for a nice place close both to the sea and the winter resorts, I think Veliko Tarnovo is the place. :) The city is situated in the central part of the North Bulgaria. It is located 242 km northeast of Sofia and the winter resort Borovetz and 229 km southwest of Varna which is at the seaside. Veliko Tarnovo is a great historical and cultural place, it used to be a capital of Bulgaria. Many English have already bought houses in the area, so it's quite popular. It's worthy it to have a look at this place.
