Bulgarian ski resorts are like those in Andorra - inexpensive and with good ski runs, the France Press reports in a detailed article about Bulgarian winter resorts. At present Bulgaria has a tremendous potential, bearing in mind the country's candidature to host the Winter Olympics in 2014 and its scheduled EU accession in 2007.
Foreigners are ready to buy flats, paying 900 euro per a sq m. The France Press mentions that that Bulgaria earned 1.086 billion euro of tourism in 2005, which is a growth of 11.9% compared to the previous year. The growth is very much due to the increased number of British tourists to Bulgaria - by 36% more. The British is the third largest group of tourists in Bulgarian winter resorts after the Greeks (666 000) and the Germans (582 000).
