Bulgaria is ready to build the highest wind park in Europe and is already looking for investors. The project was developed by the Energy Efficiency Center with the Commercial-Industrial Chamber in Stara Zagora (central Bulgaria).
"Thirteen wind turbines will be erected in the Pirin Mountain (southwest Bulgaria) at an altitude of 2000 meters above the sea level with 10.4 megawatts of installed power capacity," said the authors of the project. According to the preliminary estimates the investment for the building of the wind park will cost about 1000 euro per kilowatt.
"The Austrian Energy Efficiency Agency was among the first to take interest in the project," said Oleg Stoilov, chairman of the Commercial-Industrial Chamber in Stara Zagora.
