The Portuguese parliament ratified the treaty for the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EU late the day before yesterday, announced BTA. Only 14 MPs abstained from voting. During the vote the Chairman of the Bulgarian National Assembly Georgi Pirinski was in the Portuguese Parliament Hall. According to him there will be no problems with the ratification of the treaty by the other EU-member countries. So far, it has been ratified by 12 members of the union. The procedure is under way in Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium. The Polish Sejm will discuss and vote the ratification of the Treaty today.
