A combination of Respivax and BCJ fights AIDS in Africa

A mixture containing two Bulgarian medicines can turn into the first efficient anti-AIDS vaccine, according to Prof Bogdan Petrunov, head of the National Infectious and Parasitic Diseases Institute.
The medicine has been concocted by world-famous Prof Vittorio Colizzi. His expert opinion has ben used as evidence of the innocence of the Bulgarian medics in Libya. The Bulgarian anti-tuberculosis vaccine BCJ and the immune system stimulator Respivax are two of the anti-AIDS vaccine ingredients
Prof Colizzi analyzed blood from the HIV-infected Libyan children in devising the vaccine. The aim is to isolate the basic AIDS virus components and to combine them to counter the disease. The vaccine will be mostly used for children in Africa because it will fight both AIDS and tuberculosis.

Africa Tests Bulgarian Anti-AIDS Vaccine
It will take five years to know if the vaccine really works

"For already a year, the Bulgarian anti-tuberculosis vaccine - BCJ has been included in an experimental medicine - anti-AIDS immunizer. Presently, the medicine is tested in African countries like Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, where AIDS is mostly spread. The vaccine is injected to HIV born children or babies infected through breast-feeding," Dr. Danail Beshkov, head of the Bulgarian National AIDS laboratory informed.
It will become clear within the next five years if the combination of the Bulgarian and foreign vaccines gathered in the anti-AIDS medicine will prove efficient and if a second vaccination will be necessary. The tests of the vaccines will also show if a modification of the medicine will be suitable for HIV-infected adults.
The inventors of the new vaccines are world-famous professors Vittorio Colizzi and Luc Montagnier.
