"All current clients of Transcard, whose number is over 186 thousand people, can receive the new cards under the same conditions," said Georgiev.
The card will be issued in three types - Classic, Gold and Corporate.
Mr. Shitsuo Mitsuguchi, Vice President of JCB International, was kind enough to give a short interview for Standart

- Mr. Mitsuguchi, why did you choose Bulgaria to be the first country in Europe where you introduce you chip card?

- The relations and partnership between Bulgaria and Japan are very good. Japanese know Bulgaria well. Bulgaria is quite famous in Japan not only for your yogurt but also for the your sumo wrestler Kotooshu. As our company is the pioneer in the card business in Japan and Transcard is the pioneer in Bulgaria, we decided to start a partnership.

- You said that Bulgaria was the first step in the expansion of the business of JCB outside Japan. Are you working on similar projects in other countries?

- Our efforts have been focused mainly towards expansion in the Asian countries - Korea, Taiwan, China, and Thailand. However, we are looking for partners also in the European countries.
