539,700 hectoliters of duty-free wine will be sold on the EU market
Under an agreement for mutual preferential commercial concessions the EU will increase the quotas for duty free import of some brands of Bulgarian wines. The new agreement regulates the quantities for duty free import in 2006 as follows: 4,200 hectoliters of sparkling wines and 535,500 hectoliters of bottled wines from fresh grapes. Bulgaria's quota for export of wine on tap from fresh grapes remains unchanged - 195,000 hectoliters.
The agreement will expire on the day of our country's EU entry when the rules of the EU internal market will come into force in Bulgaria.
