US Assistance Secretary of State for Near East affairs David Welsh said at the Foreign Journalists’ Club in Washington, D.C. the United States would hold Muammar Gaddafi and his government responsible for their treatment of human rights and voice concern over the fate of the Bulgarian nurses held in custody for seven years now and defendants in a case charging them of intentionally infecting with the HIV virus some 400 children in a Benghazi hospital.
