The Lower House of the Parliament of the Netherlands ratified yesterday the treaty for the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EU. Ninety-five MPs voted for and 54 against. Almost all deputies from the ruling Christian-Democratic party voted against, however they do not have their own majority. The social democrats and the two liberal parties voted for. The treaty is to be ratified by the Senate in the spring.
