TEZ Tour, one of the big Russian tour operators specialising in outbound tourism, opened an office in Bulgaria in January.
The operator works exclusively with travel agents, TEZ Tour Bulgaria manager Peter Andreev told Dnevnik, adding that their programs are marketed by 40 agencies in Bulgaria, including Alfatour, Easy Travel, Emerald, and Alsamur, among others.
The main destinations marketed by TEZ Tour are Thailand, Egypt, Turkey, Spain, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Bulgarian tourists are offered charter tours of Egypt. The operator plans to add Turkey and Spain to its Bulgarian catalogue in the summer.
TEZ Tour is a Russian-Turkish JV where the Turkish side is represented by Leven Saban, a Bulgarian-born Turkish national. The company operates in the former Commonwealth of Independent States.
The owners of the Bulgarian division are Saban (90%) and local tour operator Alfatour (10%).
