Real Estate agencies reported sales boom. A lot of hotels are offered in Sofia. The price varies from 630 to over 1000 euro per square meter, depending on the condition of the building (new or old) and its location, shows a survey of the website www.imot.bg. A seven-storey hotel in the Darveniza neighborhood with a built-up area of 2200 sq.m. can be bought for 114 million euro. The widest choice is in the Dragalevtsi neighborhood and in Sofia downtown, where respectively 25 and 20 hotels are offered for sale. A five-star, four-storey hotel with a build-up area of 3000 sq.m. located at the skirts of Vitosha Mountain (near Sofia) is currently offered for 2.5 million euro. The hotels in the center of Sofia are smaller and the average price is 760 euro. Most of them are located near Hristo Botelv blvd. and Pirotska St.
Few hotel complexes are for sale in Varna and Burgas (at the Black Sea). Hotels can be bought in the neighborhoods of Galata, Chaika and in the center of the cities. The average price is around 1150 euro per sq.m. It is expected that prices will fall at the beginning of April because there will be more sale offers. Realty market is quiet in Burgas (southern Black Sea coast.) Some 20 hotels are offered in Plovdiv (Bulgaria's second-large city). One of them that is situated in the center of the city with a built-up area of 2200 sq.m. is now sold for 1.3 million euro. Hotels are also sold in Russe (northern Bulgaria) where the average price is the lowest for Bulgaria - around 250 euro per sq.m.
