Today Sofia marks 130 years since its pronouncing capital of Bulgaria.
At 11 am celebrations will start in front of the “St. Alexander Nevski” cathedral and the flag of Sofia will be raised. The chairman of the Bulgarian parliament and the prime minister Sergei Stanishev will attend the event.
At 1 pm at the open air gallery in front of the National theater, the Home of Moscow in Sofia will present an exhibition “Russia in Bulgaria at the end of 19 century. Participation of the people from Moscow in the Bulgarian national Revival”, prepared by the Main archive of Moscow.
A gala concert – spectacle devoted to the anniversary will start at 7 pm in Hall 1 of the National palace of culture.
